“April is always fully present in our conversations. I feel like she doesn't miss things I say, she will circle back and hold me accountable to give more details on my passing thoughts. Also, as a Black woman in education, it is hard. I always walk away feeling affirmed in my identity and encouraged along with the strategic next steps she is sharing with me.” – Chief of Staff in Nashville, TN
